Breve reseña.
La comprensión lo más exacta posible del cristianismo, en oposición al anticlericalismo burgués en todas sus manifestaciones, es de gran importancia en la hora presente.
No parece apropiado todo lo que Marx y Engels exponen sobre el primer cristianismo, hasta el siglo IV, ni mucho menos aún acerca del significado de la religión en las sociedades humanas, pero si se debe coincidir con ellos en el meollo de la cuestión, expuesta sobre todo en diversos artículos que Engels fue publicando entre 1882 y 1895. Posteriormente K. Kautsky, destacado dirigente del movimiento obrero alemán sacó el libro “Orígenes y fundamentos del cristianismo”, en el que desarrolla las ideas de Marx y Engels en este asunto a través del análisis histórico.
En radical oposición al anticlericalismo burgués, Marx y Engels formulan una interpretación francamente positiva del cristianismo primitivo, al que consideraban un movimiento revolucionario popular.
Quienes rechazan, desde su abismal ignorancia, las aportaciones válidas del cristianismo, los elementos positivos de su cosmovisión básica, es porque no están por una revolución integral. Quienes solo desean vivir mejor consumiendo más bajo el capitalismo, librando meramente “luchas” por reformas y ventajas económicas y sociales, para nada necesitan aquellos elementos universalmente válidos de la cosmovisión cristiana. Les vale con la barbarie e idiocia cotidianas.
